What we’re about
This group is about connecting with other people while enjoying the little pleasures in life such as walks in nature, lunches, movies, museums, day trips, etc. I welcome event suggestions and will accommodate as much as my schedule allows. Now let's have some fun.

See all- The James MuseumThe James Museum , Saint Peters, FL
Besides going to the movies or the pool, another great way to escape the heat is going to a museum.
The James Museum in St. Petersburg is having a special exhibit: RARE AIR: Endangered Birds, Bats, Butterflies, and Bees. Sounds like a perfect exhibit for us nature lovers in this group.
Find out more about the museum at this web site: https://thejamesmuseum.org/
We will meet at the entrance at 10am June 21.
General admission tickets are $23 but there are discounts for seniors, students, teachers, and military.
Afterwards, we can explore more of the area based on what the attendees are interested in. Eating will certainly be on the schedule 😊
Some of us will be staying overnight but it can be a day trip if you prefer not to pay for a hotel.
I hope you can join us. - “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” by Shirley JacksonAdam's Rib Co., Gainesville , FL
Summer is the time to read for fun and I have had this book on my "to do" list for quite some time now. For July, we will read “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” by Shirley Jackson. It is an old book from 1962 and available at the library. There was also a movie made of it in 2018 which I did not see. I will read the book first and then check out the movie which is also available at the library.
Enjoy!
