Twice a year Union Cemetery has a seasonal Bazaar ( Fall & Spring). There’s lots of craft booths, cemetery tour, fresh honey from local bees for sale, & usually 1-2 food trucks.

Attendance & parking is FREE.

If you know Allison well, she will most likely give her art for free to people she knows well because she HATES asking for money. This is her first craft show in years & she’s super anxious. So if you see her acting chill or cool, don’t buy into that bullshit. I could overshare more but you probably don’t want that. Anyways, come for the spooky art show or come to visit me at my booth or do whatever you want.

We will meet at Fritz Burger & walk to the area where the parade will be held. It’s usually a traffic nightmare trying to enter the paraded area nevertheless a parking spot- Fritz Burger is usually closed that day so parking is a best option with no parking fees + less likely to be involved in traffic jams.

Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday that is a time where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration. While it started in Mexico, it is celebrated across Latin America as well.

There will be a lot of authentic Mexican food vendors, a lot of people dressed up in traditional garb- traditional Mexican clothing with skeletal motifs that you can take your pictures with or admire from afar, there will be a ceremonial displays as well along with live music.

Do you know how to play pickleball? I sure don't, but I'm willing to look clumsy in public. Come learn alongside me or beat me into the ground at chicken and pickle, then hang out afterwards and try the food.

Let's get together for trivia at Transport Brewery in Shawnee, KS! The trivia is hosted by Geeks Who Drink with a team limit of 6 members. Transport does not have a kitchen, but usually there is a food truck parked outside and there are other local food options available.
