Who We Are
Neurodivergent District is a community for autistic and neurodivergent adults in the Washington, D.C. area who want to build genuine friendships based on trust, respect, and acceptance. Most members are between 25 and 45. While the group started with mostly men, we now have a growing number of women and non-binary members. Whether you have a diagnosis, think you might be neurodivergent, or simply want to meet new people, you’re welcome here.
About the Organizer
Founded by Kate Inez Harrington, a neurodivergent-centered matchmaker and coach, this group was created to offer inclusive, joyful spaces for adults seeking connection. Learn more at harringtonmatchmaking.com.
Group Guidelines
We value kindness, acceptance, and patience. Please welcome new members and respect differences in communication or behavior. Harassment or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
To stay in touch, join our WhatsApp chat. Meetup messages can get lost! If you’re able, donations help cover event costs and keep gatherings affordable for everyone.
Do I need to be single?
No. Many members join to make friends. If you are single, you can join our free matchmaking database at neurodivergentdistrict.com/ndsinglesdatabase.

Description: Feeling like you have to hold it all together? You don’t have to anymore. Join us for an informal, loosely-structured virtual discussion that Neurodivergent District holds a couple times a month designed for neurodivergent folks and/or those who feel lonely or without community. This is a nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are.
How It Works:
- Attendees who would like to share (no pressure if you want to simply listen) get a 1-2 minute “how am I doing” check-in — no interruptions, no judgment.
- The point isn’t to fix anyone — it’s to connect with others and feel a sense of community. Come as you are. Leave feeling a little lighter.
Host: Kate Inez Harrington
