Music Creator Mental Health Support Group

Details
The creative journey is deeply personal, rewarding, and, at times, challenging, especially as we navigate evolving definitions of success at different stages of life.
This month, we focus on a topic that many avoid, but most creatives encounter at some point: Creativity & Addiction.
Whether it’s substances, habits, or thought patterns, many artists struggle with dependency as a way to manage the pressures of performance, social anxiety, industry expectations, or emotional intensity. The same creativity that fuels our art can sometimes mask the deeper challenges we’re facing.
In this session, we’ll create a safe, non-judgmental space to unpack the link between creative expression and addictive patterns. Together, we’ll explore:
- The root causes that may lead creatives to reach for a vice
- The culture of pressure and burnout in music and entertainment
- How to pursue your goals in a sustainable, mindful way
- Strategies for breaking cycles and supporting long-term wellness
Whether you’re in the thick of it, in recovery, or simply curious about how to better support yourself and others, you’re welcome here.
Led by Joanna Borne, a seasoned music creator with firsthand experience navigating the highs and lows of the industry, this group is insightful, welcoming, and open to all music creators committed to prioritizing their mental wellness. Joanna fosters safe spaces for open, confidential conversations, ensuring each participant feels supported, respected, and empowered.
Whether you choose to share your story or simply listen, know that every participant signs a confidentiality agreement. What’s shared here stays here. This is not group therapy, but a collaborative space for music creators to learn from and support one another in navigating creativity and mental wellness.
