EASTER HOLIDAYS. If you haven't got any plans for next Easter, this 4 day road trip to North West NSW is an excellent holiday to a very nice part of NSW in relation to tourist attractions, bush walks, national parks, Aboriginal Culture and agricultural crops.

SIGHT-SEEING. The Warrumbungle Mountains and Breadknife views are absolutely fabulous, but you will have to walk up 1000 stairs to get to the top. If you've got the energy, the walk is well worth the effort.

BUSHWALK. We will do an 8km-12km bushwalk at Warrumbungle Mountains. The Warrumbungle Mountains bushwalk ( Grand High Tops ) is a steep "medium to hard" 12km walk that will take about 4 hours, but it will be possible for you to do shorter walks if necessary.

ABORIGINAL CULTURE. Home of Gamilaroi Aboriginal people. Sandstone Caves Rock Art, Sculptures in the Scrub, Pilliga National Park and Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre.

FOOD. We will stop at Merriwa for coffee and Coolah for lunch on Friday, but will pack picnic lunches on other days. We will have pub dinners at night, but there is also a very good Chinese Restaurant at Coonabarabran. We will book dinners for 6.30pm at each restaurant.

ITINERARY. DAY 1. Pick up passengers at Broadmeadow Station 9.00am. Drive to Coonabarabran via Denman, Merriwa and Coolah. Crystal Kingdom Gem Shop. DAY 2. Visitor Information Centre, Warrumbungles Grand High Tops 12km bushwalk, Sidings Springs Observatory. DAY 3. Drive to Baradine. Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre, Sculptures in the Scrub 3km walk, Sandstone Caves, Aboriginal Rock Art. DAY 4. Return to Newcastle via Premer, Spring Ridge, Quirindi, Scone, Muswellbrook and Singleton.

HOLIDAY COST. $750 per person for twin share rooms. $975pp for single rooms. Holiday cost includes 3 nights motel accommodation, 4 days minibus hire, fuel, vehicle insurance and extra kilometres.

MOTEL ACCOMMODATION. We have booked twin share and single rooms at a good quality motel for 10 people. If you would like a single room, it will cost you an extra $225 for 3 nights. ( All Travellers Motel )

PAYMENT. Please pay Chris $350 deposit by the 31st October 2025 to confirm your twin share or single motel rooms and seat on minibus. Your $400 or $625 balance payments will be due for payment by 28th February 2026.
