Are the Azores what remain of Atlantis?

The Azores are located in the Atlantic Ocean, some way west of Gibraltar. Is this where the legendary island of Atlantis was situated? We shall be meeting at the Towan Blystra, Wetherspoon, Table 11 to discuss this question. All opinions are welcome. A free drink will be offered by the host to all who attend.
