Get ready for some high-altitude exploring as we ascend 10 stories up the world's largest cathedral after its doors close to the public.
Join New York Adventure Club (https://www.nyadventureclub.com/) for an exclusive, after-hours vertical tour of The Cathedral of St. John the Divine (https://www.stjohndivine.org/), the mother church of the Episcopal Diocese of New York and the Seat of its Bishop.
Held after St. John closes to the public, our behind-the-scenes experience at the largest cathedral in the world will include:
• A discussion around the history and story behind the cathedral, and why it's built in two different architectural styles
• An exclusive look at the famous Guastavino tile spiral staircase
• A trip up one of the cathedral's spiral staircases with stops along the way including the triforium, a buttress, and ceiling above the nave
• A closer look at stained glass windows, sculptures, and grand architecture only seen from high above the ground floor
Our experience will conclude on the roof for sweeping views of the NYC skyline!

*Please bring water and wear a comfortable pair of shoes as we’ll be doing a lot of walking and stair climbing for the duration of the tour!
**Please note that the spiral stairwells are quite narrow, and can be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia — if you choose to not ascend the cathedral stairs, you may wait on the ground floor for the group to return
