Join us for an evening with Ivan Henriques; environmentalist, transdisciplinary artist and researcher. His work explores hybrids of living and non-living systems, creating installations that resonate between humans, other organisms and their environments.
In this talk, he will share grounded examples and speculative ideas on attunement between living and inorganic systems. Expect a journey into multispecies encounters, symbiosis, and possible collaborations for shared futures on a damaged planet.
By presenting selected works, Ivan will show how he develops living technologies: hybrid systems where plants, fungi, and microorganisms interact with machines, sensors, and artificial intelligence. These works open up new perspectives on non-human forms of intelligence, propose alternative ways of collaborating with ecosystems, and imagine sustainable futures where technology and the natural world evolve together.
