Welcome to Noir Pages! We are a meetup group for women who love all things books. This isn't the average book club. There's vanilla about this group, no pun intended, so brace yourself and hold your tatas, girl. Whether you're a fan of thrillers, romance, or dark romance, you've found your tribe. How so, you ask? Well, if you're a fan Twilight then image the series with black people and grown grown themes. Period. There's also room in this noir space for tamer serious-minded novels too.
Join us as we discover new books, hang out over wine or coffee, dive into deep book discussions, and build a community of passionate readers. From reading novels to discussing the latest releases, we have something for every book lover. So, recharge your Kindle or dust of your library card and come join us for some literary fun!
The Rules:
- Have an open mind and a giving spirit.
- We'll take turns picking the book of the month and hosting the meetup.
- Book selection will be announced at the beginning of the month and meetups will be on the last Wednesday of the month (That date isn't set in stone). The host can opt to meet in home or out, i.e.. bookstore.
- At the meeting, be prepared to share your experience with the book with one word. Tell us why.
- Did you breeze through, or did it take while to read? What made it exciting for you or drag for you?
The most important rule is to have fun.
