Kite Making Workshop

Details
If you've ever wondered why there are kites floating around in Bali skies, then this is your chance to know why, directly from the locals who make it themselves!
In this workshop you'll spend a morning inside a local Balinese's home, learning how to build a kite the way it’s been done for generations. No plastic, no factory parts! Just your hands, natural materials, and the guidance of the locals who've been doing this their whole life.
What Happens at the Workshop:
- You’ll be welcomed into Pak Nyoman Layang’s family home
- He’ll teach you how to make a traditional kite, start to finish
- You’ll use only natural, plastic-free materials
- You’ll hear the stories behind the craft, why kites matter here, why they’re made with care, flown with pride, and passed down like stories.
Who You’re Supporting:
Pak Nyoman and his family are kite makers. This is their craft, their life. By joining this workshop, you’re helping them keep it alive and giving them a direct source of income that respects their skills and their heritage.
