📚 The Easy-Bind Cloth-Spined Book Workshop

# 📚 The Easy-Bind Cloth-Spined Book Workshop

Saturday 24 October | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Doonan
Workshop: $85 | Materials: $15 supplied or bring your own

If you joined us for Coralee Asker's recent Walk With Wisdom talk on Contemplative Creativity & Journaling, you'll remember her beautiful handmade books being passed around the group - stitched spines, textured papers, artwork, photographs and treasured memories, each with its own story.
Now Coralee is inviting us to slow down and make one of our own.

Join Coralee Asker - artist, bespoke bookmaker and Fine Arts graduate - for a relaxed, hands-on workshop learning to create an easy-bind cloth-spined book.
No previous bookmaking experience is needed. Coralee will guide you through the process step by step, and you'll leave with your own handmade book.

### 📖 What You'll Create

Using paper, fabric and thread, you'll create a personalised journal featuring a classic cloth spine and your own choice of papers and colours.
Your finished book could become:

• A journal or sketchbook
• A travel diary
• A place for photographs, cards or treasured memories
• A thoughtful handmade Christmas gift
• Or simply something beautiful you've made for yourself

As Coralee shared at Walk With Wisdom, it doesn't have to be perfect. Part of the experience is slowing down, experimenting and enjoying making something with your own hands.
In Coralee's words, contemplative making can “calm the soul.”

### ✂️ Materials

Choose either:

• $15 materials fee - Coralee will supply your materials
• Bring your own materials - choose your own papers, fabric and colours to personalise your book

If you're bringing your own, Coralee will send you a materials list beforehand so you know exactly what you need.

### 🥪 What to Bring

• Lunch and snacks
• Water
• Your own materials if you've chosen that option

I’d add the payment details directly into the Booking section so there’s no extra back-and-forward with Coralee:
