Darrington Trail

Lets hike about 10 miles (out and back) on the Darrington Trail located in Pilot Hill, CA.
The trailhead is located along Salmon Falls Road near the bridge crossing the American River. This is an overall moderate hike that climbs up steeply from the parking lot and is pretty rocky for the first half mile. It is mostly open with a few shady spots. The trail offers beautiful views of Folsom lake and flowers can be spotted along it during the spring. Well behaved dogs that get along well with other dogs are welcome. Be aware of and responsible for your dog at all times. We will wait 5 mins before starting.

Parking is Poppy Pass or $10. You can park for free on the west side of the bridge, then cross the bridge and walk about 5 mins to the Darrington Trail Parking Lot.

Bring water (and a snack if desired)
Have a recognizable photo when joining this hike.
Please be considerate. If you don't plan to attend an event, cancel at least two hours before the start time.
