Join us as we start the new year with a lovely hike in the ANF! We will meet at the Rt 6 Trailhead at 10 AM on Thursday, January 1st. The Trailhead is located on Rt 6 about 2 miles east of Ludlow at N 41° 42.650’ W 078° 54.550’. You can also follow this link, https://arcg.is/104na80 , to the spot on the NCTA interactive map or https://bit.ly/49UDW1n in Google Maps.
We’ll head south, toward the Tionesta Scenic Area. On the way we’ll see wooded ridgelines, a beautiful stream valley and we’ll pass through a rock cliff. It is about 5 miles to get to Fox’s Dam and back, or 10.8 miles to go to FR 133E at the Tionesta Scenic Area and back. The length of the hike can be adjusted based on the desires of the participants.
Please come prepared for the hike dressed in appropriate layers for the weather, and carrying your own food and water. Friendly dogs are welcome. Hope to see you there!
