Ice Skating Hang Out - North Jersey

Join us for an hour or more of ice skating indoors at Sharpe James/Kenneth A. Gibson Recreation & Aquatic Center, 226 Rome St. Newark. No experience is needed. Many figure out how to ice skate on the first try, especially if you've roller skated before! There are also ice support structures you can use to hold yourself up.

It's free! The facility provides you with your own skates too!! All you have to do is show up. We'll meet inside near one of the tables. Lots of parking exists on the street.

Just an FYI. It gets kinda chilly inside (about 30 degrees) while on the ice, so if you get cold easily, I'd recommend bringing long pants and/or a coat.
