What we’re about
The North Shore Chamber Choir is a mixed choir based in Port Jefferson, NY, with members scattered all around Long Island. We are a dedicated bunch of amateur singers of all types. We welcome new members. Come try us out. We rehearse on Tuesdays at 7 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, Port Jefferson. We have a wonderful professional choral director. Established many years ago, we learn and perform new and old choral music. Each Christmas, we perform Handel's Messiah at several concerts, including the famous Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson. Singing is known to improve happiness, mental health, and improve your memory. Whether you sing soprano, alto, tenor, or bass, there will be a welcoming home with us.

### We plan for the upcoming winter season and welcome new singers for all parts.
Please come to a friendly audition in Port Jefferson (see below) on September 2 at 6.30 pm, based on Lullay My Liking by Holst (email Mary for the pdf of the music). Reading music isn't a must but is helpful.
The Winter program will contain Handel's Messiah, and some traditional English Christmas carols by Gustav Holst, and we sing at the famous Port Jefferson Dickens Festival.***

Rehearsals are every Tuesday, 7-9 pm, at First Presbyterian Church, corner Main Street & South Street, Port Jefferson. The Winter 2025 season will begin some time in September. We will update you. New members are very welcome. Click here for map and directions.
