HIKE Sunnybrook, EAT? POLKA? Sausage Fest, Kirtland.

Details
We will start by HIKING all the trails at SUNNYBROOK park, a wooded, gently rolling, short hike of not quite two miles. This is merely a warm-up for the main event as we drive about three miles north on Heath Rd., to the SNPJ Farm picnic grounds and the 21st annual Cleveland Polka Hall of Fame SLOVENIAN SAUSAGE FEST. There will be at least 8 bands playing almost continuously until 8pm with more polkas than most humans can endure. Plenty of food and drink will be available for purchase. There is a shelter/party center with dance floor as well as indoor/outdoor tables and picnic tables. Jam sessions sprout up around the grounds so bring your accordion or buttonbox if you care to join in. Over the course of the day, this festival can draw as many as 1000 people. I recommend bringing a folding chair.
TRAFFIC NOTE: Route 6 is closed at the Chagrin River, just east of River Road. Plan accordingly!
$15 admission to the festival.
