This time, weβll be reading Things Fall Apart by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe π³π¬

We follow Igbo tribe member Okonkwo, as he tries to navigate the impact the incoming British colonial government and the Christian church have on his traditional village life.
This 1958 classic revolutionised the way African literature was perceived in the West, and is a regular feature on lists of the best and most influential novels.
There is sure to be lots to discuss, this being one of the most analysed novels of all time! Themes we'll touch on include the importance of tradition, the impact of patriarchy and masculinity, and free will vs fate.
