BYO KAYAK: Paddle and Picnic for Koalas
Details
Come and paddle Bungawalbyn Crk and then picnic to help support the establishment of koala habitats along the Richmond River.
We will be meeting at Yellow Crossing, on Neiley's Lagoon Rd, Bungawalbin ( off Whiporie Rd) for an 11am start. From here we will paddle 2 km to our forest lunch spot, where you’ll hear from experts about why this area is a koala stronghold and home to 130+ threatened species, and how protecting these forests also helps protect the health of the Richmond River for future generations. Afterwards we will return back to the launch spot. This promises to be a fun and informative day.
Everyone is welcome – paddlers and non-paddlers alike.
Let’s protect the forests and rivers that protect our koalas!
