This hike is ~14.8 miles’ out-n-back with an elevation gain of ~ 2500 ft., featuring Washington Monument (Not the D.C. one but the Maryland one), Annapolis Rock Vista, Black Rock Vista and Greenbrier Lake. This hike starts from Washington Monument State Park Trailhead parking area. Please refer to the coordinates in the details below.

Safety is paramount for all of us. Please bring hiking poles and wear proper hiking shoes to enjoy the trails safely. There are no water crossings but if anyone wants to dip in the water in Greenbrier Lake, please bring extra pairs of cloth/towel etc., Please bring minimum 2 liters of water.

This hike is suitable for experienced, fit hikers who did similar distance/elevation in past few months. If you have ANY question about your ability to complete this hike, please contact me.

Terrain: Moderate Steep/bit of rocky
Park entry fee: Maryland residents $2/vehicle; out-of-state residents $4/vehicle
Carpool Fee: Please coordinate. Leader will meet the group at trailhead parking lot.

Bring: Adequate water, food/snacks, hat, layers, basic first aid kit, map, rain gear (depending), hiking poles, hiking shoe (It’s bit rocky) sunscreen, bug spray, water shoe (for water crossing, if you want), additional pair of socks, towels and your big happy smile 😊.
