The Spokane Folklore Society's Fall Folk Festival
Details
The Spokane Folklore Society's Fall Folk Festival is a free event that features eight stages of traditional and ethnic dance, music, workshops, unique entertainment, and jam sessions. Traditional crafts are also available for sale at the festival.
A traditional New England Contra dance will close the festival on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The festival is designed to support our regional folk musicians, showcasing many local artists who are hidden gems worth discovering. Approximately 100 performing groups will represent a diverse range of traditions, including Celtic, bluegrass, blues, African, Asian, and Middle Eastern music, among others.
Approximately 6,000 people attend this festival each year. 3 women to every man.
