LETCHWORTH STATE PARK
Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. Trails are also available for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Letchworth offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks, tours, a summer lecture series, whitewater rafting, kayaking, a pool for swimming and hot air ballooning. GREEN LAKES STATE PARK
Green Lakes State Park's outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. LODGING
We will be staying in a recently renovated big duplex near Niagara Falls, 10 bedrooms, 10 beds (8 queen beds, 2 double beds), 5.5 baths, a dedicated workspace, 2 fully stocked kitchen, & 2 living room. We will max out at 15 people. The house is 5 minutes drive to Niagara Falls (15 minutes walk).
Features: Close to Seneca Casino, restaurants & bars, balcony, arcade games, board games, ceiling fan, free WiFi , TV, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer. (Note: No washer & dryer)
Essential Provided: Bed sheets and toilet paper (Bring your own shampoo, conditioner & body soap)

Return Date/Time: Depart from Green Lakes on Monday Sept 2nd after lunch around 2:00 PM and expect to arrive at NJ at 8:30 PM, NYC at 9:15 PM & Queens at 10:00 PM

TENTATIVE PLAN (Plan may vary depending on weather among other factors)
8/30 Saturday:
• Arrive at Letchworth State Park around 3 PM after lunch. Enjoy this 3.1-mile out-and-back trail near Portageville, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 44 min to complete, and we will see the beautiful Lower Falls. • We will go grocery shopping for breakfasts, snacks & drinks before checking in the house.
• At night, we will get to see the majesty of Niagara Falls from nearby Goat Island as the roaring waters are brilliantly illuminated against the night sky. (1.5 hours)
8/31 Sunday:
• Whirlpool State Park - Whirlpool State Park overlooks the Niagara Gorge. Have a picnic in the field above before hiking below to see the whirlpool up close. The park includes hiking and biking trails, fishing spots, and a playground. (30 mins)
• Niagara Falls Daytime View from Prospect Point & Observation Tower, and walk around the park (1.5 hours)
• Maid of the Mist (Extra Cost $30.25) - This famous boat ride gets passengers up close and personal with the Niagara Falls! The Maid rides right into the mists thrown up by the roaring cascade as the Niagara River tumbles over the edge of the falls. (40 minutes)
• Option 1: Canadian Side Attractions (Recommended for those with US passport or Enhanced Driver License) - If most people opt not to do Jet Boat Ride, we can visit Canadian side for 2 to 3 hours. Cost of walking across the bridge is $1 (4 quarters or change it at changer machine)
• Option 2: Jet Boat Ride (Extra Cost $66.95 + fuel surcharge) - These exciting boat rides take passengers on a thrilling trip down the Niagara River! This round-trip ride zooms through the Niagara Gorge, and even takes passengers to the famous Whirlpool rapids, all of a custom-built jet boat. This ride starts at 10:00 AM. and every hour on top of the hour until 5 pm (45 minutes per ride).
9/1 Monday:
• Check out the house & bring everything to the van.
• Arrive at Eternal Flame Falls. The flame is known to be visible year-round, though it can be extinguished and needs to be relit occasionally. This natural phenomenon, where natural gas seeps from the ground and is lit, creates a mesmerizing spectacle for visitors.
• Arrive at Green Lakes State Park in the morning, and hike Green Lake to Round Lake Trail for about 1.5 hours. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
• Optional: Afterward, we can visit Clark Reservation State Park & do some short hikes if time allows & everyone is interested.
• After lunch, departing for NYC around 3:00 PM.

SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK
Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. state of Virginia. The Skyline Drive runs its length, and a vast network of trails includes a section of the long-distance Appalachian Trail. Mostly forested, the park features wetlands, waterfalls and rocky peaks like Hawksbill and Old Rag mountains. Shenandoah is home to many bird species, plus deer, squirrels and the elusive black bear. LURAY CAVERNS
Luray Caverns, previously Luray Cave, is a cave just west of Luray, Virginia, United States, which has drawn many visitors since its discovery in 1878. The cavern system is adorned with speleothems such as columns, mud flows, stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, and mirrored pools. More on https://luraycaverns.com/

We will be staying in a vacation house near Shenandoah National Park, with 4 bedrooms, 7 beds (2 king beds, 1 queen bed, 3 single beds & 1 sofabed), 4 baths, 1 dedicated workspace, 1 full kitchen, 1 living room, 2 game rooms with bar (pool, fossball & arcade), & a movie room. We will max out at 12 people. The house is 24 minutes drive to Shenandoah National Park and 42 minutes to Luray Caverns.

Morning:
· Depart from NYC: Start your journey early in the morning to make the most of your day. The drive to Shenandoah National Park is approximately 6 hours.
Afternoon:
· Arrival at Shenandoah National Park: Enter the park through the Front Royal Entrance Station.
· Lunch: Have lunch at a local restaurant in Front Royal or pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the park’s picnic areas.
· Skyline Drive: Begin your scenic drive along Skyline Drive. Stop at a few overlooks such as Signal Knob Overlook and Range View Overlook. Complimentary driving audio guide provided by GuideAlong.

Evening:

OCT 12 SUN: EXPLORING PARK
Morning:
· Breakfast: Have breakfast at the house.
· Hiking & Waterfalls: Hiking Dark Hollow and Rose River Falls, two of the park’s most popular waterfalls. The hike is moderately challenging, with 5.5 mi & 1,453 ft gain. Afternoon:
· Lunch: Pack a lunch.
· Visitor Center: Visit Harry F. Bryd, Sr. Visitor Center. The Center houses exhibits that tell the stories of Shenandoah’s establishment and development.

Evening:

This is an extra cost and admission ticket can be purchased online. We can decide the time slot (likely 12:20 PM or 12:40 PM) on the first day of the trip.
Afternoon:
· Lunch in Luray: Enjoy a meal in the town of Luray before heading back.
· Departure: Begin your drive back to NYC, aiming to leave by mid-afternoon to return at a reasonable hour.

KILLINGTON RESORT
Killington Resort is a ski resort in Rutland County, Vermont, United States, near the town of Killington. It is the largest ski area in the eastern U.S., and has the largest vertical drop in New England at 3,050 feet (930 meters). The mountain has been nicknamed the "Beast of the East." Ski season starts early at Killington, and they usually open ride in either late October or early November (earliest in the east coast), mostly the first to open in the Northeast. Killington is also one of the best ski resort at making snow. Killington Resort . This trip is Ikon Pass and Ikon Base Pass friendly. MOUNT SNOW MOUNTAIN RESORT
Mount Snow ski area has terrain suitable for all ability types, from gentle beginner slopes to blue cruisers and challenging black diamonds. The resort is known for having great snow making coverage, excellent grooming operations, modern facilities and a comfortable lodge. Skiers and riders have access to 600 acres, serviced by 20 lifts. The Bluebird Express lift, Mount Snow’s six-person bubble lift, transports skiers and riders to the resort’s summit elevation of 3,600 feet. LODGING
We will be staying in a big townhouse, with 4 bedrooms, 10 beds (3 queen beds , 6 twin beds, 1 sofabed), 4 baths, 1 full kitchen and 2 living rooms. We will max out at 14 people. The house is 6 mins drive to Mount Snow Resort.
Features: Ski shuttle stop, shared hot tub/indoor pool, recreation center, fitness center, indoor wood-burning fireplace (wood provided), deck/balcony, free WiFi, TV, kitchen, dish washer, microwave, keurig coffee maker.
Essentials: Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, bed sheets, and toilet paper.

LIFT TICKETS
* Get Epic Local Pass for $799 (www.epicpass.com), or Epic Day Pass $182 (2 Days, with "32 RESORTS" and "NO PEAK DATES" options). The pass price will go up few times throughout the summer/fall.

TRIP PLAN
Depart Date: December 5th, 2025 Friday. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Bus/Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.
Depart 4:00 PM from Queens: (Across street from Asian Jewels) 133-30 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354 (Map). Subway lines (Main St-Flushing): 7. (NEW for 25/26: 1 block from previous spot)
Depart 5:00 PM from NYC: (ViVi Bubble Tea) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 (Map) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.
Depart 6:00 PM from NJ: (NJ Transit Ramsey Route 17) 1 Spring St, Ramsey, NJ 07446 (Map) ) $2 to $4 daily parking at the station's park lot. Meet at the pick-up/drop-off area (indoor) in the back of the parking garage.
Return: Depart from Mount Snow at 3:30 pm on Sunday and expect to arrive at NJ at 9:00 pm, midtown NYC around 9:30 pm & Queens at 10:00 pm

COST (LODGING & TRANSPORTATION)
Early Birds: $299 per person for first 6 spots or before 9/15 whichever comes first. Regular: $339 per person for last 6 spots. $30 per person upgrading from shared queen bed to own single bed.
Trip Includes: 2 nights shared accommodation with a shared queen bed or own single bed with $30 upgrade) at a big house. Round trip transportation from NYC area & tolls, daily transportation between the house & ski resort, & parking fee if any. $10 tips for the van driver is required & will be collected on the returning trip. Lift tickets are not provided with this trip; everyone should get Epic Local Pass or Epic Pass.
