This is the group for all BAs who are sick of watching Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch host meetup groups whilst going "what about us???"!

In today’s rapidly digitalising world, cybersecurity has become a critical business imperative, extending far beyond the realm of IT. This presentation aims to underscore the pivotal role that Business Analysts (BAs) play in enhancing operational resilience through robust cybersecurity practices.Key Objectives:

1. Highlighting the Importance of Cybersecurity for BAs: Cybersecurity is not just an IT issue; it is a fundamental business concern that requires the active involvement of BAs to safeguard operations and ensure business continuity.
2. Enhancing Operational Resilience through Process Analysis: BAs can significantly mitigate cyber risks by conducting thorough process analyses, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective security measures.
3. Promoting the CyberSIG: Launched in April 2025, the CyberSIG (Cybersecurity Special Interest Group) emphasises the importance of collaboration in building a strong cyber defense. This initiative provides a platform for knowledge sharing, innovation, and collective problem-solving among BAs.
