Welcome to Oars & Pours! We're building a community of paddle people (stand up paddle boarders, kayakers, etc.) in the 805. Join us for a weekend paddle followed by a drink and some hangs in Oxnard, Ventura, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and beyond. 🤙
Whether you're an expert SUPer looking for a little company out on the water, a novice kayaker considering buying a board, or eager to justify your water toy garage space, this group is for you.

Earn your breakky with a paddle in Carpinteria! We'll meet at the south end of Carpinteria City Beach, paddle the Carp coast, and relocate to Dart Coffee's brand new Carp location for bites and brew. Fingers crossed for another dolphin encounter! 🐬
A few notes:
- 🛶 PADDLE: Stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks, canoes, and the like are all welcome. When in doubt, go for it.
- ⏰ TIMING: We'll plan to push off no later than 9:15 AM. If you're late to the rally point and miss us, we'll catch you on the water.
- 🚗 PARKING: If street parking is unavailable, try the public lot at 475 Linen Ave.
- ➡️ FORMAT: We typically paddle for about an hour, deflate/load our gear in our cars, and then reconvene for some hangs. Shortcuts are welcome and no worries if you have to cut out after the paddle. Or if you *just* want to come hang out after, that's cool too.
- 💡EXPERIENCE: We recommend some experience as we do not have resources available to teach. Carp requires getting past a small break - so maybe wait for a harbor paddle if you're new or have doubts. (You should still come for coffee regardless!)
- 🛟 RENTALS: We're not affiliated with the rental companies but encourage you to research options on your own!
