The OFJF 25 presents An Evening of String-based Free Jazz at Traditions

Details

Come to Traditions to hear an evening of string-based free jazz featuring The Myst from Seattle and DJ G and the Coop.
The Myst is comprised of cellist Heather Bentley on cello, Don Berman on percussion, vocalist Steve Deutsch, Carol Levin on Eharp/Effects, acoustic guitar by Drea Rea and violinist Ewa Trebacz. The Myst plays improvisations that leave the audience guessing. A mysterious, unpredictable, ensemble, The Myst is a group of improvisors with big ears and who are highly attuned to the whole band every step of the way, encouraging deep listening permeated with MYSTical sounds and feelings.

DJ G and the Coop powered by the compositions of guitarist Don Klassen, this linearly inspired group will take you to unknown territories always finding the path back homeward. They set the room on fire at last year’s festival with a performance for the ages at ABC House. Aiding Klassen in this journey are Joe Mailhot on guitar, Bassist Cooper Schlegel, and The Legendary Gary Vancouver on drums.

Traditions will be serving up its fine cuisine for this event, so come and have a nice dinner and enjoy!
Tickets: $20.
Call Traditions to reserve your tickets and tables for your dinner reservations with Soul Cafe. 360-705-2819.
