Join us for the second event in a series of four Expert Talks on Design Systems and Development Libraries.

Design Systems save organisations time and money by codifying design decisions that can be replicated at scale. They also improve the customer experience by ensuring consistency, familiarity, and accessibility at every touchpoint.

The second event on Tuesday 30th July 2024 at 6.00pm (doors open 5:30pm), is about Design Systems for Engineers in a modern Enterprise.

We’ll be exploring Design Systems from a technical perspective and how to get the most out of your technology.

It’s an event for people who build digital experiences and products using a Design System or Development library, or those looking to develop their own Design System: Lead Front End Developers, Heads of Tech, Architects or emerging CTO’s as well as Delivery/Product Managers.

In this follow-up event, we will cover:

• What is a Design System and how does it benefit Engineering teams?
• What are the best practice engineering principles I need for a Design System and how do I implement them?
• What tooling do I need to consider for my Design System?
• How do I work with Designers to create a cohesive and usable Design System?
• How do I get my engineers to use a Design System or Development Libraries?

Your Expert Speakers will be:

• Bec Monfries - Bec has delivered design systems in various shapes and forms for organisations like QBE, MYOB, Qantas, Transport for NSW and Standards Australia. Bec is a Partner, Digital at Terem.
• Marco de Bruin - Having built a career in development and architecture, Marco has been involved in Digital technology for the last three decades. He has been an Engineer, Architect, Founder and Team Leader for many organisations, from start-ups to enterprise. Marco currently works as a Principal Technologist (Digital) for QBE.
