Music Jam in Docklands Library (Performance Space)

We will be holding our next Music Jam session at the Performance Space room on Sunday the 18th of May, 12:30-3pm.

Bring your instruments, your musicality, and also your ideas - this is a chance to have your say in the future of the group!

Bring instruments if you have them, or just yourself if you don't. There is shared percussion**, and you can always just sing, dance and clap your hands! Just be willing and able to participate.

Suggestions for songs to practice beforehand welcome - we will be trialling a new segment in our jams (in addition to, but not replacing, the open jam format) whereby 1-2 songs are picked, and participants have the opportunity to practice these songs beforehand! Sheet music may be provided on a case by case basis.

All are welcome - from total beginners to experienced players. Everyone has a place in the jam landscape.

Contribution*: $10 (to cover meetup costs and organiser time).

*If finances are a concern for you, feel free to discuss an alternative way to make your contribution. I can always use help with setting up/packing up, carrying instruments, taking photo and video, and monitoring meetup messages on the event day.
**exact percussion instruments that will be available for common use is TBD and may not cover all who need them - in which case, feel free to clap and sing along!

PLEASE NOTE: the event may be cancelled in the event of:
a) Insufficient number of people registering to attend. I would say that we are looking for at least half a dozen RSVPs.
b) Forecast extreme weather event, such as a heatwave or thunderstorm.
