Join the Out of Cambridge Walking Group for socially engaging walks, camping trips, hiking adventures, and other weekend activities. Whether you're looking to explore the great outdoors, meet new friends, or simply have fun on weekends, this group is for you! All skill levels are welcome, so come join us for some fresh air and good times outside of Cambridge. Let's make the most of our weekends together!

Join us for a day trip out of Cambridge to Rutland Water. It was constructed between 1971 and 1975, and features a 24 mile circular track around it's circumference. It is the largest water reservoir in the UK. We will walk the shorter 6 mile track from Hambleton. It features woodland and sweeping views of the reservoir.
Located between Leicester and Peterborough, it's a gem of a walk not to be missed. See the route map below for details.
Route MapWe will stop for lunch at the Finch Arms 1:30pm - 02:30pm
We will then head towards Burleigh House in Stamford, and enjoy a relaxed walk of the parklands surrounding the grand sixteenth-century country house. 3:15pm - 4:15pm
After the parkland we will travel to the Stamford City centre which features the largest number of independent shops in England. We will stop at The Stamford Post for afternoon refreshments before heading back to Cambridge.
GETTING THERE
We will travel in a Minibus. 08:30 St Pauls Church, 09:00 Trumpington Park and Ride. Journey time 1hr. Return trip £12. For those who prefer to drive you can meet us at the Finch Arms, Hambleton LE15 8TL at 10:00. Please leave a comment if you are planning to bring your own car, so we can adjust the RSVP numbers accordingly.PAYMENT

CANCELLATION
We need a full minibus 16 passengers to make the trip viable. The trip may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers of passengers. This decision will be made 2 days before the event. Ticket refunds will be processed within 48 hours.WHAT TO BRING
A packed lunch and water, we will stop at the the pub in Hambleton for a break at Lunchtime. Toilets are also available at the start of the track. There is flexibility in the return time, if the group decides to leave earlier/later. - Minibus trip, Holkham Beach Norfolk coast 8 mile easy - Day TripTrumpington Park & Ride, , Cambridge
Join us for a day trip out of Cambridge to the Norfolk Coast. Our destination is Holkham Beach voted the #3 best beach in the UK.
Our walk begins and ends at the seaside town Wells next the Sea. We will walk through the Holkham park woodland towards the Leicester Coke Monument, before heading towards the spectacular Holkham Lake, where free roaming deer and water fowl can be seen.
Leaving Holkham Lake we will head through the marshland across Holkham Meals towards the beach. White sandy coastline greets us as we make our way along the shoreline. We then will have a short comfort break at the beach cafe, before continuing our journey adjacent to the coast thru the woodland towards Lookout station, at the harbour entrance.
Returning along Beach Road, we make our way into town where we will stop at the Golden Fleece for refreshments before making our way through the shops back to the bus.
