Chestnut Hill/Wissahickon Hike by Rich Kranz

Chestnut Hill/Wissahickon Hike 9 Miles. Moderate Pace. A Christmastime classic! Starting at Bruno's, we'll head down the orange trail into the Wissahickon Gorge and eventually stop for lunch at Valley Green Inn. After lunch, we'll head up the Creshiem Creek Trail to the town of Chestnut Hill. We'll check out the expansive neighborhood homes, Pastorious Park, and eventually arrive at Germantown Avenue and the Chestnut Hill Shopping District, all dressed up in its Christmas finery. From there you'll be able to head back to the cars at your own pace. Do some Christmas shopping, stay for dinner or just head straight back to your vehicle, your choice.
Rugged Terrain and city sidewalks. Sturdy shoes are required. No Pets.
We'll meet on Northwestern Ave in front of the Northwestern Stables near Bruno's Restaurant, 9800 Germantown Ave, Lafayette Hill, Pa. 19444 at 9 a.m. Bruno's is on the corner of Germantown and Northwestern Avenues
