Little Niagara Falls and Blue Job Mountain Combo

This is the easy day for the trip and will be a combo of 2 hikes.

moderate pace

We'll start with a short hike to Little Niagara Falls (not really falls but a neat water feature anyway). There is very limited parking so we'll meet at the parking lot for Blue Job Mountain State Forest which is the 2nd hike of the day and carpool to another small parking spot for the Falls. There are no porta-potty’s at either parking area. The carpool is not a part of the club activity.

We start the first hike at a parking spot on Little Niagara Rd. This is a 1.1 mile out and back and will be more about enjoying the scenery than getting a workout. We pass some lovely ponds on our way to the Falls (again, not falls but very pretty). We'll spend some time there before heading back and then returning to our original parking lot.

The second hike will be a 2-2.5 mile loop in Blue Job Mountain State Forest. We'll stop for a bit to enjoy the 360 deg views on Little Blue Job. Depending on time and our mood we could have an early lunch here. After that we continue to Blue Job Mountain where there is a fire tower. Also could have lunch here if we choose, will play it by ear. Then we return to the cars.

Afterwards, I will be visiting a local orchard in the afternoon for some hard cider and cider donuts if you would like to join me. They also have fruit picking of whatever is in season, apples for sure and maybe more. This is not part of the club activity.
