Walk on Boards Spring Lake to Ocean Grove Pier With Interesting Stops 12-13 Mile

If you are new to my hikes, you will not be able to register unless your email or message me. Priority on my hikes will be given to those who attend the hikes or who cancel their reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time.
We begin in Spring Lake and walk the streets for some interesting History of Spring Lake. We continue back on boardwalks to the Lake Como Trail around Lake. We then pass Belmar, Avon by the Sea,Bradley Beach ,and Ocean Grove. We make a stop at Bradley Beach, which was once known as Chinatown by the Sea.In 1941 Chinese immigrants in New York City migrated to Bradley Beach shifting from visitors to property owners. We walk down Newark Avenue. and up Cliff Avenue. On Cliff Avenue the Cliff Villa ( since burned down) was located where the Chinese -Americans first stayed during visits to the Shore. .We will have lunch at Ocean Grove Pier.. There are restrooms in Spring Lake and on the route.. This is a 12-13 mile hike at a fast pace (3-- MPH). Besides your lunch, bring water, sun block and snacks.
