Cattus Island Hike for National Brownie Day

What better place to celebrate National Brownie Day than Cattus Island? No promises that we will actually have brownies for after the hike, you will just have to hike with us to find out!

We will hike 5-6 miles on the trails of Cattus Island to a few scenic water view locations along Silver Bay, Mosquito Cove, and Barnegat Bay. The trails are sometimes over boardwalks through the marshes and we may also experience some muddy trails, depending on coastal flooding or recent rainfall. We will hike at a brisk pace, approximately 3 mph to finish the hike in 2-2.5 hours.

The environmental center should be open for restrooms but there are also porta potties available throughout the park. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, we will leave on time. We will cancel by 9:00 a.m. for heavy rain or other unsafe weather conditions.
