National “Take A Hike” Day on the Barnegat Trail

Join me for National Take a Hike Day on the Barnegat Trail. Leaving from Waretown, NJ, we willl hike south on the trail approximately 2.5 miles to downtown Barnegat. There we can take a break for a snack, ice cream, or a slice of pizza before heading back north on the trail. This is a straight out and back hike, approximately 5 miles round trip.

The Barnegat Trail is a flat, wide, gravel and paved trail through wooded land. We will hike at a brisk pace, ~3 mph. We will have the option to add an additional 1-2 miles north on the trail if we choose to continue further.
