Philly Murals and Holiday Sights

Join Diane & Pat in a slow 3 ½ mile walk capturing the sights and sounds of Philly at the Holidays. To coordinate timing with light shows as well as giving time in the markets to explore or eat, this could be a LONG DAY, plan accordingly. End time is approximate.

Meet Diane at the street level of the PATCO station at Franklin Square in Philly at 9:15 am., or if you prefer to travel in as a group, meet Pat at the Woodcrest PATCO station at 8:45 am. If meeting Pat at Woodcrest let her know with a text or message her here. The plan is to leave Franklin Square promptly by 9:30 am.

We’ll start by checking out a collection of murals we haven’t walked you past previously. We’ll also explore the views from the Rail Park before heading to the Wanamaker Light Show. From there we’ll check out the festivities around City Hall including the Made in Philly Holiday Market and Wintergarden in Dilworth Plaza. Then on to the Christmas Market at Love Park before catching the Comcast Holiday Spectacular Light show. Plan on hearing narration at murals and places of note. DRESS WARM!!! Goal is 12:30 pm Wanamaker show and 2:00 pm Comcast show.

After the walk you can stay in town and re-visit the markets or we can lead you back with us on PATCO. Rest Rooms at the start and at City Hall and the Christmas Market. Plenty of food options at the Christmas Market as well.
