Weather permitting, a great opportunity for those who only want to hike a short distance (2 easy miles).

This newly revitalized all natural surface hiking trail is located off Highway 53 and situated on 270 acres owned by the City of Winder. The area once served as part of the City’s wastewater treatment operations, but the recent transformation makes the park accessible to hikers, bikers, and non-motorized vehicles. White’s Mill was a hub of industry and an epicenter of factories locating in the area. Now, two hundred years later, the large mill has vanished, but Cedar Creek continues to flow and the memory of the former mill remains.

Free parking, very small gravel parking lot, no restrooms. Meet at the trailhead a few minutes early for intros. End time is a guesstimate so allow for some flexibility.

My hiking style is slow/steady (approx 2-2.5 mph), not a sprint, not a stroll, break as needed, small group, and we start, hike & finish together. Trekking poles welcome.

Please leave your furry 4-legged loved ones at home.
