Hike the GTM Reserve For The NEW YEAR!!!!

Again, I am plagiarizing for the umpteenth time.....ha ha. Thank you to the lady (Judy) that I stole this from. Let's start 2026 off with a great hike!!!
This is to start the year with a long, long hike. This will be +7-8 miles UNLESS we hit a muddy spot and have to turn around and backtrack which then you can add another mile or two. And to make it more interesting this time, we are going to throw in some dance moves along the way....some moonwalking, gliding, grinding, etc. So when it is all said and done, your legs will hurt BUT you will be able to dance better. Ready for some fun?
We will be hiking at Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve....GTM Reserve. Between Jax and St Aug. There is a $3 to $4 parking fee on the honor system. After you enter, park and proceed past the bridge and back parking lot and a little further up is a gazebo where we will meet. If you can park in the back lot, then you are closer to the gazebo but this fills up the fastest. The parking can get a little busy quickly so allow for some time to park and walk to the gazebo. There are restrooms and of course, lots of woods.
Bring bug spray, water, and possibly a snack. If everyone wants, we can go to lunch after at Aunt Kates. Last year, Jeff got this phenomenal meatloaf lunch so I said my next New Year's resolution is to get that plate for lunch.
