Join us for a scenic hike along the breathtaking Sea Cliff Bridge and Illawarra Escarpment - Wodi-Wodi track. This challenging trail takes us through lush forests, and panoramic coastal lookouts, and ends with a refreshing dip at the secluded Austinmer rock pools, followed by a relaxing lunch at a local pub. This is a full-day adventure with no exit points once we begin, so come prepared! Due to the distance and a steady pace of 4 km/h, good fitness is essential.

Before you RSVP, please read the details below:

  • Start: 9:45 AM at Scarborough Station, meet at the station exit. Take the SCO—Kiama train from Townhall/Central stations. If driving, park at start or finish stations.
  • Difficulty: Hard due to the long distance, many elevations and stairs, steady pace, and bushwalking tracks.
  • Route: Starting at Scarborough Station, we'll cross the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge, soaking in spectacular ocean views. After some road walking, we take the Wodi Wodi Track near Colacliff, leading into the forested escarpment with rolling elevations, fire trails, and stunning lookouts over the Illawarra coastline. We’ll pause at Sublime Point, then descend the steep stairs to Austinmer Beach for a swim and some downtime. To wrap up, we’ll stop by the Airstream food truck at Headlands Hotel before heading back to the station.
