Paddle & Snorkel Near Coral Cove - BYOS (bring your own snorkel)

We'll be paddling from Beach Rd across the street from Coral Cove Park. You can park on Beach Rd or in Coral Cove Park. We will paddle down to Kato's Bridge and snorkel on the west side of the bridge. Swimming near the bridge pylon on the west side of the Intracoastal but away from boat traffic, you may see fish like snook or jacks deeper in the water column.

Who should come? Intermediate paddlers or stronger. No first-time paddlers or those who paddle very infrequently. Join our Fabulous First Timer meetups on Saturday mornings to learn paddleboarding. Questions? Text 561.260.2628.

How to secure your spot: RSVP for the event. Need to rent a paddleboard? It's $30 via Venmo (@vivian-caylor) or Zelle (561.260.2628) at least one day in advance. Have your own board? $10 per person by event day. For credit card or other questions, text 561.260.2628.
When: Arrive at the listed start time for equipment fitting if renting. If you have an inflatable board, arrive early to inflate it and be ready to go.
Where: Read the 'How to find us' section. Check GPS the night before to know your travel time to the launch location.
What to bring: Usual stuff for FL; Sunscreen, hat, water. Got expensive glasses? Either bring the cheap ones or use a glasses leash. If you're snorkeling, bring fins. The best snorkeling area has a stronger current.
Weather concerns: I check detailed weather forecasts and will cancel by 6am if winds are too strong or there's a high chance of lightning. If the event isn't canceled on Meetup, it will proceed. In case of cancellation, you'll be refunded or can apply payment to the next event. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for no-shows or day-of cancellations.
