Lord Cove Lyme/Old Lyme from Pilgrim Landing

Start time for this event (originally 10am) has changed to 12 Noon to take advantage of incoming tide.

• Arrive at 11:30 a.m. 1/2 hour prior to posted launch time. Parking is tight.
• Be in your boat, on the water, and ready to paddle at 12:00 p.m., event start time!
• You must have your PFD on and fully fastened to participate in this event.

Lord Cove is located in Lyme/Old Lyme. It is a 5-mile maze of waterways in brackish, tidal marshlands that offer migrating birds, ducks, egrets, laughing gulls and osprey diving for fish. It is a leisurely paddle and should take about 3 hours or so. Bug spray recommended.

The put-in, a small beach on Pilgrim Landing Road, off Route 156 (Neck Road) about a half mile north of exit 70 on Interstate 95. An address of 98 Pilgrim Landing Rd, Old Lyme, Connecticut, in your GPS will get you close. Parking is limited. Try to carpool.

Required equipment: PFD, 10-foot length of rope, whistle, headlamp/flashlight (for evening paddles). And be prepared to give your emergency contact number to the host if he or she asks for it.
