Catching the last East Fork Tuck release for September. Note this is Class I+ whitewater.
Let's get back to paddle the Tuckaseigee, 9 miles,
Class I-I+. Lena Davis Landing Access to C.J. Harris Access. This is a lovely rural stretch. After leaving the National Forest where the east and west fork confluence the Tuck meanders through a beautiful valley running mostly over gravel bars and some islands until it reaches the gorge below Dillsboro. We take out just above the Dillsboro gorge. The first 5 miles are easy and the second half a little more small whitewater scattered about.
We had a good amount of bird sightings last year.
You are responsible to have all your own whitewater gear, PFD, whistle,at least 6' line on bow of boat, lunch/ water, and everything D-clipped to boat. NO INFLATABLES OR SUP's please.
Meeting and carpooling from Home Depot, exit 44, I-40.
Take note that this is a dam release river, so if anything changes with the release or timing of it, by Saturday, I will update it

If anyone would like to try a SOT whitewater kayak, Cory has a "spare" flow "do it now". It is also for sale.
