Belly dancing is an excellent and joyful way to get in shape in 2026, as it improves flexibility, strength, and coordination while boosting confidence. It is an inclusive, low-impact exercise suitable for all body types, ages, and fitness levels. Dancing with a veil can help build strength in the upper body, arms, and shoulders. Belly dancing offers significant health benefits by toning core muscles, improving posture, balance, and flexibility, while providing a great cardiovascular workout. It boosts mood through endorphin release, reduces stress, enhances body awareness, supports pelvic and joint health, and can even help with back pain relief and bone density, making it a low-impact, full-body exercise.

Paulina Vasha is a local performing belly dancer with a focus on Elemental & Tribal Fusion styles.

Paddy & Bill LIVE at Paddy's Irish Pub on Saturday, January 31st!

Join us for a flashback SUPER TREAT as Paddy and Bill take the stage in Paddy's Irish Pub! For those of you not from the area - Paddy & Bill are currently located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They had played to packed houses in the North and South Carolina area for many years. Their music spans a very wide range from moving ballads to rock and ribald pub songs. The pub songs, notably The Pussy Cat Song, Alice, Seven Drunken Nights, etc, draw a very large following from the local college community and from the military community at nearby Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. Their fan base is now extended worldwide due to the connection to these installations.

Patrick (Paddy) Gibney was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 25, 1968. He came to the United States in 1987 on a soccer scholarship at the prestigious Fayetteville Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina and went on to graduate magna cum laude from Methodist College, also in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He entered graduate school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina but decided to follow his dreams and become a songwriter/singer/guitarist.

Paddy Gibney teamed up with Bill Ayerbe, a very talented, classically trained violinist/fiddler. Bill is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey - just across the river from New York City. He studied at the notable Ukrainian Institute of America in New York City and attended New York University and Creighton University in Nebraska. After a stint in the US Army he remained in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area. Bill was also the concertmaster for the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Board of Directors for the Cumberland Oratorio Society in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
