### Pagina & Praktijk #005: The Psychology of Money (Morgan Housel)

After the interesting depth of Arnon Grunberg, this month we turn to a subject that shapes almost all of our lives: money. But The Psychology of Money is not really a book about numbers, spreadsheets or financial tricks. It is a book about behavior, emotion and the stories we tell ourselves about wealth, success and security.
Morgan Housel shows that doing well with money is often less about intelligence and more about habits, patience and self-awareness. Why do some people with little income build stability, while others with much more still feel out of control? And how much of our financial behavior is actually rational?

### What will we do?

At Pagina & Praktijk, we do not just read, we apply. During this gathering, we will explore:

  • The core ideas of the book: wealth, greed, risk, freedom and long term thinking.
  • How Housel challenges us to reflect on our own relationship with money, status and success.
  • Our experiences with the Praktijk-opdracht, and what we noticed about our own financial habits, beliefs and behavior.

#### For whom?

For curious thinkers and doers in Rotterdam who aren’t afraid of big questions and love to dig deeper. Whether you’ve finished the book or are just getting started: you are welcome.

“Doing well with money isn’t necessarily about what you know. It’s about how you behave.”

Read it. Live it.
