This trail follows the river. Check out the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery along the way! About a mile north of the Fish Hatchery, there is a stretch of private property along the river and the public trail veers left into a lovely stretch of woods. The trail continues through the woods for a mile or more before rejoining the river. You can walk along the river for another 3/4 mile or so until you get to Bridge 99 (Lower Bridge). You can turn around at Bridge 99 or cross the bridge to continue another mile and 3/4 to Candle Creek campground, where you must turn around.
Highlights include stunning views of the river, abundant wildlife, and beautiful wildflowers. Challenges are some rocky sections and narrow paths. Starting early is recommended to avoid crowds.
