What we’re about
If you speak English and have Persian friends or partner, travelled to Iran and/or like its history, interested in Persian poetry or for any reason interested in this ancient language who is spoken by more than 100 millions in different countries, you are welcome to attend our free online courses. Persian language is not an easy one but with our method you will learn basics of language, how to put together simple words to make your sentences and how to improve your listening skills in an efficient and rather quick way. This group level is Basic, which means you don't need to have any prior knowledge but you are expected to practice and take at least half an hour of your time everyday as we move forward each session and without proper practice you will left behind. If you already know Persian but you would like to improve your proficiency, please make a note of this while you are joining the group and if we get enough numbers, we will start another groups as Intermediate or even Advanced levels.
We are based in Melbourne Australia, but you can join from any part of the world if your time matches. We try to have weekly online classes usually over weekends afternoon (Melbourne time) but if you live in Melbourne and we get enough number of students, we will be able to have face to face sessions in the Iranian school located in Doncaster which used to be our venue for this course, pre-pandemic. We are volunteers and courses are free but if you would like to contribute to Meetup annual fee, please donate here.
