Prepping for the Holidays / Dreading Family Gatherings? Here's Help!
Details
Are you looking toward the holidays with dread?
Is the thought of spending time with family and friends with whom you may disagree anxiety-inducing?
The holidays are rolling around again, and some will say we are “NGMI” (Not Gonna Make It) because it’s too hard to spend time with those with whom we disagree or who are too outspoken in their opinions.
It’s easier to just stay home with our online communities. Not to mention, since the pandemic and as we are more on screens and less IRL (in real life), our ability to be with people has atrophied.
And yet, people say they are hungry for belonging and connection, and wish they weren’t looking for ways to avoid holiday get-togethers.
Scottie Seawell facilitates 'Prepping for the Holidays' for anyone who wants to learn something new or reacquaint themselves with a few tools to make getting together for the holidays more enjoyable and less stressful.
Join in for Two Minute Conversations, and an interactive game called,
Where Do You Stand? to explore and practice discussing a few “hot topics”.
A group discussion will follow, exploring what has been learned and how we can apply these practices to the holidays.
Prepping for the Holidays is free to attend.
Persnickety Books presents this Everyday Practicum.
