Event-Driven Architecture in the Age of Agentic AI
Tales from the Trenches
Every day, organisations generate thousands of signals — a transaction completed, a sensor triggered, a customer action taken. The ability to respond to these moments intelligently and instantly is what separates modern, adaptive organisations from those still catching up. This is the promise of event‑driven architecture, and when combined with agentic AI, it opens up a whole new world of possibility.
In this session, we welcome speakers Jamie Craig and Ronald Inglesby to explore how these two approaches come together, and what it means in practice for the people and organisations working with them.
We’ll explore:
- What event‑driven architecture is and why organisations adopt it as a design pattern, brought to life through real customer use cases.
- What it really means to go agentic, with AI moving beyond chatbots to become digital co‑workers that extend what people can do rather than replace them.
- Why agentic AI works better with event‑driven design, and how combining the two unlocks faster, smarter, and more responsive systems.
- Stories from global organisations already putting this into practice, and a look at where the technology is heading next.
- The ongoing role of humans in the loop — why people remain central to this evolution, and how the relationship between human and agent will continue to develop for the foreseeable future.
Whether you work in technology, lead organisational change, or are simply curious about where AI is taking us, this session will give you a grounded and human view of what it looks like when people and intelligent systems work side by side.
There will be time for questions and discussion after the presentation, followed by networking over drinks and pizzas.
Registration is essential, and we hope to see many new and familiar faces on 6 May!
