Talk: Testing without Production: Infrastructure Unit & Contract Testing

How can we test infrastructure without spinning up any resources? In this live code, we demonstrate how to test Terraform resources locally with unit and contract tests in order to continuously delivery infrastructure. We'll examine the limits of the approach, debate whether or not it's effective, and think critically about an infrastructure testing strategy.

Talk: Chaos Engineering: breaking your systems to make them unbreakable

As applications become more distributed and complex, so do our failure modes. I'll share why you shouldn't just embrace failure, but should intentionally cause and learn from it. I'll provide advice and insight on how you can best run Chaos experiments drawing from my experiences at both Datadog and Gremlin. And to help demonstrate it in action, I'll guide the audience through a live, interactive Chaos experiment.
