Introduction to J and its use for functional programming

In June Harvey Davies will be presenting an Introduction to J and its use for functional programming.

I recommend downloading J from jsoftware.com and bringing your laptop so you can experiment during the meeting. Most of the examples will be short one-liners (often doing an amazing amount) and J is ideal for such experimentation.

I will aim for a 45-minute talk/demo. If I only get half-way through (likely if there is lots of fun experimentation and discussion) then there is always the option of doing the rest at some future meeting.
