# Join in the [Hacktoberfest]ivities with PHL Code Club!

This October, we’re coming together to commit to open source contributions. We’ll be gathering once a week via the PHL Code Club Discord to support each other. Whether you’re a seasoned contributor or brand new to open source, you’re welcome to join in. At the end of October, we’ll celebrate with a showcase of all the amazing work done.
For those that don't know, Hacktoberfest is the annual celebration of open source contribution and a gateway for newcomers to contribute! Over the month of October, you will aim to submit contributions to participating open source projects; each one will be tracked on your Hacktoberfest dashboard! The format will be as follows:

## Weekly Hack Nights (Online) 👨‍💻

When: Every Wednesday of October at 6:30pm

## Final Showcase (in-person event: October 30th 🎃)

To help keep your head in the game, we’ll be giving out prizes for those who manage to…
