A deep, intentional approach to creating powerful landscape images
This Landscape Photography Course is designed for photographers who want to go beyond “pretty views” and start creating images with intention, depth, and feeling.

Rather than focusing only on settings or gear, this course walks you through the entire landscape photography process - from planning the shot, to making creative decisions in the field, and finally shaping the image in post-production.

We’ll slow things down, think deeply, and learn how to create landscapes that tell a story and truly reflect how a place felt, not just how it looked.

### What you’ll learn

Across 6 live 1-hour sessions, we’ll cover:

  • Planning & Visualising How to research locations, read light and weather, and pre-visualise your image before you even pick up the camera.
  • Gear with Purpose Understanding lenses, focal lengths, filters, and tripods — and how to use gear to serve your vision, not distract from it.
  • Composition for Impact Building strong images through layers, balance, compression, and thoughtful framing.
  • Storytelling & Emotion Creating mood, atmosphere, and images that make people feel something — not just admire them.
  • In-the-Field Decision Making Knowing when to wait, when to shoot, how to adapt, and when you’ve truly captured the image.
  • Post-Production with Intention Editing to enhance mood and storytelling, knowing when to use Photoshop, and when to stop.

How the course works

  • Live classes every Wednesday at 7:30 PM (NZ time)
  • Starting Wednesday 3rd of June
  • Sessions will be recorded and added to the LensLife library
  • Designed to be practiced alongside your real shooting, not rushed through
