PHPBenelux Virtual Meetup July 2021

We missed our June meetup because of lack of time, and we’re sorry about that. But, we make it up to you in July announcing two amazing speakers from the PHP and WordPress scene. You will learn about scaling PHP applications with Kubernetes, in this example it will be WordPress, and you will get to learn some design principles when your providing your own packages.

Of course we will have our monthly raffle and a cosy chit-chat session afterwards.

🗣 Koen Van den Wijngaert - Scaling WordPress on Kubernetes
In this session, Koen will tell us a thing or two about the challenges of scaling a WordPress based application. After the boring stuff, he'll do a hands-on showcase of an auto scaling demo environment running on Kubernetes.

🗣 Alain Schlesser - Package Design Principles
In this talk, I’ll share the principles I work hard to adhere to when designing and maintaining open source packages meant for public distribution. It covers topics like dependency management, filesystem/namespace structure and standards adherence.
